Health Benefits of Oats
Oats are one of the most healthy grains out there!
Oats are a very nutrient-rich dense food. They are a whole grain and perfect for a gluten-free diet.
Oats contains many essential vitamins, minerals, fiber, and even antioxidants! Some of the benefits of incorporating oats into your diet include balanced weight, reduced blood sugar levels, and can also lower your risk of heart disease.
The major nutrients in oats are Manganese, Phosphorus, Magnesium, Copper, Iron, Zinc, Folate, Vitamin B1 and Vitamin B5.
In addition, whole oats are rich antioxidants as well as important plant compounds known as polyphenols.
Furthermore, oats contain a fiber called beta-glucan, which can help to reduce cholesterol and blood sugar levels. It also increases healthy gut bacteria and keeps you feeling full for longer.
How to Prepare Healthy Banana Oatmeal Cookies in the Air Fryer
The recipe for these cookies is so easy. You will only need a few ingredients, along with a bowl and fork to mix it all together.
This recipe makes 5 cookies because that is how many can fit in my air fryer at a time. If you wish to make more, you will need to do so in batches unless you have a bigger air fryer.
Ingredients you will need:
- 1 Banana
- 1/2 Cup Oats
- 2 Tbsp Raisins
First you will need to peel the banana and using the fork, mash it thoroughly in the bowl.
Next add the oats and raisins to the bowl and mix well.
Spray the basket of your air fryer with some non-stick cooking spray first.
Then you will shape the mixture into cookies. Place the cookies separated from each other in the air fryer basket.
Return the basket to the air fryer. Set the temperature to 325F for 10 minutes.
When done, remove with a spatula and place on a plate to cool slightly before serving.
Enjoy!

Super quick and delicious! I sprinkled mine with brown sugar over the top just to give them a little added sweetness.
Made these this morning but used two bananas and one cup of instant oats! Added a tablespoon of peanut butter and a drop of vanilla extr. And they are 👌. Airfried exact time and temp and they cooked perfectly. Nice and crunch on the outside and soft on the inside! I had fed a few chocolate sprinkles on top for my toddler and he’s already asked for more! This shall be a staple in my home for quick breakfast/ snack!
