Then, season them up with your favorite herbs and spices. Pop them in the air fryer, and in just a short time, they turn golden brown and crispy. These chicken hearts are perfect for those looking to try something new or for anyone who enjoys a different kind of snack.
They’re a perfect low carb/keto option with roasted veggies or use them to boost the protein content of dishes like pasta, soups, or stir fry’s. Just be sure to use the air fryer for the most tender, juicy meat. 10 minutes at 400 degrees gets you perfectly cooked chicken hearts.

How To Make Air Fryer Chicken Hearts
Place chicken hearts in a mixing bowl for prep. Drizzle in olive oil and top with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Use a large spoon to toss meat in seasonings and oil.
Move seasoned chicken hearts to the air fryer basket. Spread out chicken into a single layer as much as possible.
Place basket inside of air fryer. Cook at 400 degrees for 10 minutes, pausing halfway though cooking time to shake basket, thus redistributing the chicken hearts. This help them to brown more evenly.
Once the cooking time is up, check the chicken by inserting a meat thermometer. It should read at least 165 degrees.
If chicken is done cooking, move from the air fryer basket to a serving bowl.
Cooking Tips
- Use any seasonings you like on chicken
- Drizzling the chicken hearts with olive oil helps to tenderize them and prevents them from drying out
- If, after 10 minutes, you find the temperature of the chicken to be less than 165 degrees, place back in air fryer and cook for another few minutes or until cooked through
