How to Cook Air Fryer Donuts From Biscuits

This air fryer donut recipe only requires 4 simple ingredients! And the main one is canned biscuit dough. I like to use the Pillsbury Grands brand of biscuits, but any brand will work.

Here is what you will need:

  • Canned Biscuits
  • Melted Butter
  • 1/4 Cup Sugar
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon

To begin, remove the biscuits from the can. Then make a small hole in the center of 4 of the biscuits using a butter knife. Now, gently using your thumbs, stretch the dough to transform the biscuits into a donut shape.

Next, place the 4 formed donuts in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Do not overlap them to ensure that the donuts evenly cook.

Now, put the air fryer basket into the air fryer and cook the donuts at 320 degrees Fahrenheit for 7 minutes. It’s important to remember that when using an air fryer both the time and temperature must be correct.

While the donuts are in the air fryer cooking, pour both the sugar and cinnamon onto a plate. Then mix them together to create the yummy sweet spiced topping.

Once the air fryer is done cooking, remove the donuts and transfer them to a plate. Next, brush each donut first with melted butter using a pastry brush, and then dip each one into the cinnamon sugar mixture to fully coat.

And that’s it! You just made homemade delicious warm and ready to eat donuts in under 10 minutes!

Air fryer donuts from Pillsbury Grands Biscuits will keep at room temperature for up to 4 days covered or in a container. And if you want to warm the leftover donuts all you have to do is put them in the microwave for about 30 seconds on medium power or in the toaster oven at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for about 2 minutes.

Can I Use Any Brand of Canned Biscuits?

Yes! I like to use Pillsbury Grands biscuits, but any brand will work perfectly for this air fryer donut recipe. However, I do recommend that you try to use a canned biscuit that is similar in size to the Pillsbury Grands so that the cooking time and temperature are the most accurate.
