Air fried egg in a hole is so delicious, and you’ll love how easy it is to make in the air fryer! Imagine biting into this mouthwatering egg and toast, dipping a piece of bread in the egg – yum!

If you want to make more than 1 toast, I recommend doing so in batches, otherwise it will not cook properly. Unless your air fryer is larger than mine, just cook 1 at a time.

How to Prepare Egg in a Hole in the Air Fryer

This dish takes almost no time to prepare and uses very few ingredients! You will also need a small pan for your air fryer and a small glass.

Here is what you will need to make it:

  • 1 Egg
  • 1 Slice of Bread
  • Salt and pepper

First you will need to take a small pan that fits inside your air fryer basket. Place it inside the basket and spray it with some non-stick cooking oil to prevent sticking.

Place your slice of bread on the pan.

Next, take your small glass, and make sure it fits within the crust of your slice of bread. Use it to cut a circle in the center of the bread by twisting it around in a circle and pressing down. Remove the circle you created from the bread and set aside.

Then crack your egg into the hole carefully. Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste.

Add the circle of bread on the side of the pan so it cooks too.

Place the air fryer basket back in the air fryer and set the temperature to 380F for 6 minutes.

When done, the egg will be perfectly cooked. Slightly runny on the inside and fully cooked egg whites.

Use a spatula to take out and place on a plate.

Enjoy!

I don’t like the bottom of my egg crispy so I do the same thing with a glass but don’t go all of the way through. It leaves an indention that will perfectly hold the egg.

It was so simple to make and turned out better than I expected. The egg was cooked to perfection, and the toast had a great crunch. I loved how minimal the cleanup was too.
