Prep air fryer basket with nonstick spray or brush with oil to avoid having the fish stick to it. Lay 3-4 mahi mahi fillets in basket.
Set to cook at 400 degrees for 15 minutes. Halfway through cooking time, it’s time to season the fish. Sprinkle on salt, pepper, and garlic powder, then flip the fish over and season the other side.
Finish cooking, then use a spatula to move fish from the air fryer basket to a serving plate.
Cooking Tips
- You can use this recipe for fresh or frozen mahi mahi. If fish is thawed, reduce cooking time by 5 minutes.
- If using frozen fish, wait to season until halfway through cooking time, otherwise seasoning will not stick to fish
- Cooking time depends on thickness of fish. 15 minutes is a good estimate, but if the fish is still not cooked, add another few minutes in the air fryer
