This Air Fryer New York Strip Steak is so tender and juicy! It’s an easy recipe and you can add whichever seasoning you love on steak.
New York Strip Steak in the Air Fryer
You’ll love to cook steak in the air fryer. It comes out tender and perfectly cooked. It’s so easy to pop a couple of steaks in the air fryer and allow them to cook while you prep side dishes or chat with friends. We love the air fryer for its convenience!

How To Cook Air Fryer New York Strip Steak
Start by seasoning the steak with salt and pepper. You can use any additional seasoning, if you like. Be sure to season both sides and rub seasoning onto steak.
Place steak in air fryer basket. Heat at 400 degrees for 10 minutes.
Halfway through cooking time, remove basket from air fryer and carefully flip the steak. Replace the basket in the air fryer.
Continue cooking until done. Check internal temperature at the end of cooking time and adjust as needed.
Remove steak from air fryer and place on serving plate to rest for 5 minutes.

- Be sure to flip the steak over, halfway though cooking time, to ensure even cooking
- Check the internal temperature of the steak and cook to your liking: 145 degrees for medium and 155 or higher for well done
- It’s important for the steak to rest for 5 minutes after cooking, this helps to get the perfect steak texture
Do You Need To Flip Steak When Cooking in the Air Fryer?
Yes, for even cooking, you should flip the steak halfway through cooking time. This will brown up both sides and cook the steak through.
How To Cook a Steak in the Air Fryer Without Drying It Out?
First, allow the steak to come to room temperature before cooking, this will prevent overcooking. Be sure to season the steak on both sides, adding a drizzle of olive oil will help as well. Cook equally on both sides and allow steak to rest after cooking.
