C00king Tips
- Air Fryer Pineapple is delicious without any seasonings, but if you wish to enhance the sweetness of the pineapple, you can top it with cinnamon or honey
- Lay out pineapple in an even layer in air fryer basket, to encourage even cooking/browning
- Be sure to stir up the pineapple pieces halfway through cooking time
Does Pineapple Get Sweeter When Cooked?
Yes! Heating up pineapple in the oven, in the air fryer, or on a skillet is the best way to caramelize the natural sugar in the fruit and enhance its sweetness without adding any sugar.
What Can You Add to Cooked Pineapple?
Try adding to the flavor by sprinkling on any of these seasonings: cinnamon, brown sugar, citrus zest, chili powder, or herbs like fresh mint or basil. Each of these ingredients will compliment the flavor of the pineapple while letting its sweetness shine through.
Can You Dehydrate Fruit in the Air Fryer?
Yes, as long as your air fryer has a dehydrate setting. Place cut-up pieces of fruit in a single layer in air fryer basket and heat to 175 degrees for about 3 hours. Cooking time will depend on fruit.
What To Serve With Air Fryer Pineapple
This dish goes with so many main courses and treats! Use it as a topping on Air Fryer Chicken Fajitas, Chicken Cauliflower Fried Rice, or Instant Pot Beef And Broccoli Recipe for a yummy added sweetness.
Or serve it alongside other healthy snacks, like Healthy Coconut Date Truffles or Honey Candied Pecans, or Air Fryer Apple Slices. Such a variety of nutritious and delicious snacks.
