How To Make Air Fryer Radishes
First prep the radishes. Wash them thoroughly and chop off the ends. Then slice them into quarters for quicker cooking.
Add to a bowl and top with a drizzle of olive oil and salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Using a spoon, toss to coat the radishes in the seasonings.
Add radishes to air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook at 400 degrees for 18 minutes, pausing halfway through cooking time. At the halfway point, pull the basket out of the air fryer and use a spatula to mix up and flip the radishes.
Replace basket in air fryer and allow to cook for the full amount of time. Once radishes are done, they’ll be nicely browned and fork tender.
Use spatula to move radishes from air fryer basket to serving bowl.
Cooking Tips
- This recipe calls for olive oil, but you can use any vegetable oil you prefer
- Salt, pepper, and garlic powder are the basic seasonings, but feel free to add any others you like on vegetables
- Be sure to shake up and flip radishes halfway through cooking time to ensure even cooking
Does Cooking With Radishes Destroy the Nutrients?
No. In fact, cooking radishes breaks down the cell walls, causing them to release their nutrients. Cooked vegetables (including radishes) actually contain more antioxidants than raw vegetables.
How To Make Air Fryer Radish Chips
In order to make radish chips, you need to slice the radishes thin. This can be done with a mandolin or knife slicing the radishes into 1/8″ rounds. Then season the radish slices and add to the air fryer, in a single layer. Cook at 350 degrees for 15 minutes or until crispy.
