What if I told you that you don’t have to spend time over a stove or babysitting a grill to get the perfect steak? All you need to use is your air fryer!
I know it might throw a few of you off to use an air fryer to cook a piece of steak, but trust me… this ribeye turned out SO good! The steak still comes out with a crisp sear on the outside and juicy, tender on the inside. Just perfect.
Add a bit of A1 sauce and you are golden!
For today’s post, I am going to show you how to cook up a ribeye steak in the air fryer but you can really cook up any piece of meat. The one thing you will need to be mindful of is the timing as the thickness and doneness of the steak vary.
Note: If you don’t own an air fryer, this is the model I recommend the most. I can’t live without it!
How To Cook Ribeye Steak In The Air Fryer
It’s easier than you might think to make juicy and flavorful ribeye steak in the air fryer. Here’s how you do it!
First, season your steak. I used salt and pepper, but you can also add some garlic powder and onion powder if you want. Sometimes, I’ll make a quick steak marinade and let it marinate for 30 minutes before cooking!
Then, cook the ribeye steaks in the air fryer at 400F for just 13 minutes.
Flip the steaks over halfway through the cooking time.
Let the steaks rest for 5 minutes before you serve them. This will give the meat time to finish cooking without overcooking them. Plus, you don’t want the steak to dry out! Letting it rest for a few minutes helps conserve some of the juices.
Cooking them for 13 minutes gives you the perfect medium-well steak. If you want them less pink (and cooked more) then I suggest cooking them for about 15 minutes.
Cooking Tips:
- Check the steak for doneness after it is finished cooking. Use an instant-read food thermometer and follow this guide:
– 125° F for rare
– 135F for medium-rare
– 145F for medium
– 150F for medium-well
– 155F for well-done. - If the steak is not done to your preference, just put it back in the air fryer at 400F for several more minutes, until the desired internal temperature is reached.
What To Serve With Air-Fried Ribeye Steak
This steak is perfect with your favorite salad recipe or side dish. I like to make a crispy carrot and apple slaw to go with steak because the sweet flavors complement the savory steak. You can also never go wrong by serving a juicy ribeye with some creamy mashed potatoes and roasted veggies. My go-to is roasted baby carrots or some zucchini and mushrooms.
You can also make delicious steak fajitas with it! Just prepare Instant Pot peppers and onions fajitas, slice the steak, and serve it all on a soft flour tortilla!
