You can cook the tortellini ahead of time or make it all at once. Either way it’s a super easy recipe. We suggest using garlic powder and Italian-seasoned breadcrumbs, but you can use any seasonings or flavors that you love with tortellini. Marinara dipping sauce would be great with this dish, as well as a simple olive oil and herb dip or a fresh pesto sauce.

How To Make Air Fryer Tortellini

First cook tortellini according to package instructions.

Prep the air fryer basket by spraying with a nonstick spray. This keeps the tortellini from sticking while they cook.

Crack an egg into a medium-sized mixing bowl. Whisk it up, set aside.

Pour out a cup of Italian (or any other flavor) breadcrumbs onto a plate. Add grated parmesan and garlic powder to the breadcrumbs. Use a fork to stir all the dry ingredients together.

Add the tortellini to the bowl with the egg. Toss tortellini to coat with egg (this helps the breadcrumb mixture to stick better).

In batches, move tortellini out of the egg and onto the plate with the breadcrumbs. Roll tortellini around in breadcrumb mixture to coat all over. Then place tortellini in air fryer basket.

Place air fryer basket in air fryer. Cook at 400 degrees for 10 minutes, pausing halfway through cooking time to remove basket and shake the contents. Use a spatula to flip the tortellini so they cook evenly.

Once they are done cooking, remove from air fryer basket and place on serving plate.
