Easy Basil Pesto Sauce Recipe
Ingredients
- 3 cups packed fresh basil leaves
- 4 garlic cloves
- 3/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup extra-virgin olive oil
- 1/4 cup pine nuts

I have a bag of frozen basil leaves in my freezer from this past summer, 2017, and a Vitamix that I can use to make pesto. Should I defrost the basil first or just use it while frozen to make the pesto? Thanks in advance. Your recipes are great.
You can use it while frozen – just put frozen basil in a food processor with the other pesto ingredients and blend.
How long will pesto sauce keep in refrigerator?l
Up to a week.
I fill ice cub trays with the pesto and freeze then keep in sealed container in freezer. Just take out and thaw the number of cubes you need and leave the rest in the freezer!
