This salad has so much flavor! And it’s so healthy. With broccoli and cauliflower, it’s filling enough to be a lunch all on its own, but it also makes a delicious side dish for potlucks and bbq’s. And bonus- the recipe makes plenty of portions!

Everyone will love the combo of bacon and ranch. And since it’s no-cook, you can prepare it in no time at time. Just chop up the veggies and add the rest of the toppings. We suggest bacon bits, sunflower seeds, and raisins, but you can omit or substitute any ingredients to your liking. It’s a really versatile dish that’s full of flavor.

How To Make Broccoli Cauliflower Salad

First we need to prep the broccoli and cauliflower. Wash them and lay them out to chop. Cut off the stems and chop up the florets into small pieces. Add the broccoli and cauliflower pieces to a large salad bowl.

Next, let’s prep the onion. Chop off the stem and peel the whole onion. Slice it first, then chop into small pieces. Add them to the bowl.

Add bacon, sunflower seeds, and raisins to the salad bowl. Mix to combine.

Pour in 3/4 cup of ranch dressing (or more or less to taste) and toss everything together. Now it’s ready to serve!

  • It’s important to cut the broccoli and cauliflower into small pieces so it’s a chopped salad and all the flavors can combine
  • You can add salt and pepper, but the bacon and ranch dressing have plenty of salt. Or you can omit the bacon and ranch and season as you like

Easy! To make Broccoli Cauliflower Salad without mayo, just chop up all your vegetables and add ranch dressing. 3/4 of a cup is a good amount for two heads of broccoli florets and one head of cauliflower florets, but you can add it to taste.
