Cafe Central restaurant is a French bistro located in Downtown Highland Park (north suburb of Chicago). Cafe Central restaurant has quality food that’s fresh, beautiful and tasty.
The whole place is light, airy and upbeat. Even the plates in Cafe Central are cute – the bread plates have tiny flowers on the sides, and the dinner plates have the yellow and blue sides and the white middle.
Before your meal at Cafe Central, you get freshly baked warm crusty french bread! It smells so good and tastes so yummy! Spread the sliced of the warm crispy bread with the cold real butter and enjoy.
I’ve been in Cafe Central for lunch many times, and have always had a great experience. Here are the things that I tried: french onion soup, cobe beef cheeseburger, house salad, cobb salad, croque monseur, smoked salmon sandwich, grilled vegetables tartine, omelette du jour and homemade pasta. Everything was excellent – fresh, artfully presented and great tasting.
You can tell that a lot of thought goes into their food, it just has such good energy about it. They use quality ingredients and don’t skimp. It really is a find. Cafe Central restaurant in Highland Park is highly recommended!
