How To Make Cheerios Peanut Butter Bars
Grab a microwave-safe bowl and add the peanut butter and honey. Microwave for 1 minute.
Stir warm peanut butter and honey together to combine. Add Cheerios to the bowl. Gently mix the cereal with the peanut butter and honey.
Prep an 8″ x 8″ baking dish with parchment paper and spray the paper with nonstick spray. Add the Cheerio mixture to the pan and smooth it out into an even layer.
Place the pan in the fridge and chill for one hour or until the mixture hardens.
Remove the pan from the fridge and peel the paper off of the Cheerios. Use a large knife to cut into bars. Now they’re ready to be enjoyed!
Cooking Tips
- Microwaving the peanut butter and honey allows it to liquify, which makes it easier to mix together
- As the mixture is initially very sticky, you’ll want to use both parchment paper and nonstick spray on the pan
- Use the back of a spoon or spatula to smooth out the Cheerios mixture once it’s in the pan
Can You Make Cheerios Peanut Butter Bars Without Honey?
Yes. Instead of honey, you can use light corn syrup to hold the bars together. You can buy it at the store or make your own corn syrup.
