How To Make Chocolate Chip Banana Bread
This chocolate chip banana bread recipe is so easy, it’s a lazy cook’s favorite! This is a one-bowl recipe that you just can’t mess up! And once you are done, you just have one bowl to wash :)
First, you need to mix butter and sugar in a bowl. Next, mix in the eggs and vanilla, then add mashed bananas. Then mix in the dry ingredients – flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Finally, add in the chocolate chips! Pour the banana bread batter into a non-stick loaf pan and bake at 350F for 45 minutes. You are done!
If you want some of the chocolate chips to be on top (like on my picture) instead of just inside the banana bread, save some chocolate chips and sprinkle them on top of banana bread right before baking. This is my trick for picture-perfect chocolate chips on top :)

This looks so yummy. If I double it and use a 9×13 is baking time the same?
Yes, I’d bake for the same amount of time, then check for doneness by inserting the toothpick in the middle and see if it comes out clean. If not, then bake for another 10 min and check again.
If I use two 4X8 loaf pan will it be the same time of 45 minutes
Check for doneness after 35 minutes.
Would this still turn out good without vanilla extract?
Yes
Can I make this with superfine blanched almond flour? I’m doing low carb.
I haven’t tried, but I’m guessing you can. If you try it, let us know how it turned out!
The idea of freezing slices for later was a genius! You’re right Melanie
Turned out perfect, thank you!
