How To Make Chocolate Chip Scones

Preheat oven to 400 degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy clean-up. Fit the food processor with a steel blade.

Slice a stick of butter into 8 pieces and add to food processor.

Also add flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Close up food processor and alternate with blending for 10 seconds and pulsing 20 times. Finish off with about a minute of blending or until the flour and butter are combined into small pieces.

Then add milk and vanilla. Blend ingredients again for about 15-20 seconds or until dough becomes a ball inside the food processor.

Use a spoon to move the dough ball to a bowl. Add in chocolate chips by hand. Then shape the dough into a ball and lay it out on a preparation surface. Press until flattened and use a butter knife to slice into 8 segments.

Check scone doneness by piercing one in the middle with a toothpick. If the toothpick comes out clean, then the scones are done baking.
