Cooking Tips
- Enjoy this batter as a treat (no eggs) or bake it up into delicious macaroons
- Use your fingers or a spoon to help shape the cookie batter into round shapes on the parchment paper
- Be sure to add a bit of the chocolate chips on top of the raw cookie balls- you’ll be able to see them better after baking
Can You Make Coconut Macaroons Without Sweetened Condensed Milk?
Yes! Just use unsweetened coconut and swap out the sweetened condensed milk for honey. Or, keep the sweetened coconut and use egg whites in place of the condensed milk. Either way, you will get the chewy macaroons that everyone loves.
Why Do My Macaroons Fall Apart?
There may be too much liquid in the batter. Adjust the liquid to coconut ratio and be sure to let the cookies cool completely before serving.
