How To Make Crescent Roll Cinnamon Rolls
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Prep a baking sheet with parchment paper so the cinnamon rolls don’t stick to it while baking.
Open up a can of crescent roll and unroll the dough on a flat preparation surface. Pinch together the seams to make one flat rectangle.
Brush dough with 1 tablespoon of melted butter. Then sprinkle 1/2 of a cup of brown sugar on top. Try to distribute sugar evenly over the crescent roll dough. Finally, sprinkle surface with 1 teaspoon of cinnamon.
Roll up the crescent roll dough (lengthwise) and slice into 6 equal pieces. Lay slices on parchment paper-lined baking sheet. Flatten them a bit to get them in the right shape.
Bake for 25 minutes. Then whisk up the icing- 1/2 cup of powdered sugar and 1 tablespoon of water. Drizzle over rolls and allow to cool for 5 minutes before eating.
Cooking Tips
- Use a knife to gently mark the spots you will cut on the cinnamon roll dough. This helps you slice equal pieces
- If need be, add more water (a teaspoon at a time) until icing reaches desired consistency
- Use a spoon to easily drizzle icing on the tops of the cinnamon rolls
How To Upgrade Cinnamon Roll Icing
To take basic cinnamon roll icing (typically powdered sugar and water) to the next level, add a bit of brown sugar and a pat of butter. Yum!
