Dinner Of Salmon Teriyaki With Yellow Rice And Edamame

This tasty dinner has salmon teriyaki as a main dish, yellow rice with raisins as a side dish and edamame as a side vegetable! A great thing is that all these recipes are very easy to make. Teriyaki salmon takes just 15 minutes to make from start to finish, yellow rice is cooked in a rice cooker without any work on your part and edamame is the frozen edamame that’s defrosted in the microwave. I love yummy dinners that don’t take much work :)
Salmon Teriyaki Recipe
In this easy recipe, salmon fillets are marinated in the mixture of soy sauce, mirin, brown sugar and vinegar, then quickly pan-fried. To make this salmon teriyaki recipe even simpler, you can use bottled teriyaki sauce! Please see easy salmon teriyaki recipe.
Yellow Rice Recipe
The yellow rice is actually a white rice, and what makes it yellow is the spice called turmeric. I make yellow rice in a rice cooker – just put in the regular rice and a pinch of turmeric and press the Start button. To make yellow rice with raisins, just throw a handful of raisins into the rice cooker along with the rice. For more details on yellow rice, see how to make yellow rice.
Edamame
The edamame I use is the frozen organic edamame from Costco. To prepare this edamame, simply put the frozen edamame in a microwave safe bowl, cover with plastic wrap and microwave for 5 minutes. Sprinkle the edamame with salt and enjoy! If you have Costco near you, their edamame is great – see my page on Costco edamame.
