What Can I Use Instead Of Eggs For French Toast?

No eggs? No problem! Adding just a bit of cornstarch creates a delicious texture for french toast. Or you could skip the eggs and cornstarch entirely and just use milk and butter on your bread. Very simple but hits the spot!

We also like to add vanilla and cinnamon for that homestyle flavor. And maple syrup is a must! You could also top this french toast with fruit compote, cinnamon sugar, whipped cream, or even chocolate drizzle. Yum!

Dip both sides of each slice of bread in the milk mixture and place on hot griddle. Cook for 4 minutes or until bread is brown on the bottom.

Carefully flip the french toast (bread will be softer without eggs) and cook for another 3 minutes or until it is browned on both sides. Keep an eye on this dish while it’s cooking. If it starts to burn, turn down the heat to medium.

When french toast is done, move it to a serving plate. Turn off the griddle.
