How To Make Fried Green Tomatoes No Breading
Wash a green tomato and cut it into about 4-5 slices. Be sure to cut out stem and discard.
Place a skillet on the stovetop and heat it to high. Add a drizzle of olive oil to the pan. Then top with tomato slices. Sprinkle salt, pepper, and garlic powder on tomato.
Once the oil starts sizzling, turn down the heat to medium. Allow the tomato slices to cook for 5 minutes.
Flip the tomato slices using a spatula. Make sure they are in a single layer. Top them with seasonings.
Let tomato cook for another 5 minutes before checking for doneness. You may need to flip the tomato slices again and cook them for a few more minutes.
If the tomato is tender to your liking, turn off the heat and use a spatula to move the tomato slices to a serving plate.
