You might not think to grill broccoli, but it truly is delicious! And it’s so easy to enjoy the deep roasted flavor of Grilled Broccoli. Just season and lay the florets out on a sheet of aluminum foil in the grill.
Broccoli On The Grill
You’ll love this tip to grill broccoli- just place the broccoli florets on foil so they don’t fall through the grates while cooking! That way you can still get delicious grill marks on the broccoli. The veggies cook up soft, but not mushy. Just how we like our broccoli!
We add a drizzle of oil and a light sprinkle of seasonings to compliment the flavor of the broccoli. Salt, pepper, and garlic powder go great on broccoli, but you can use any seasonings you typically put on veggies. Once they’re grilled to perfection, you can serve as is or top with a yummy sauce.

How To Make Grilled Broccoli
Prep your broccoli florets by washing them.
Preheat the grill to high heat and close the lid.
Add broccoli to a mixing bowl and top with oil and seasonings. The oil prevents the broccoli from sticking to the foil. Toss broccoli to coat in seasonings.
Lay out a sheet of aluminum foil and fold up the edges. Open up the grill and use heat-safe tongs to place foil on grill grates. Turn heat down to medium low.
Carefully add seasoned broccoli onto the foil. Close the grill lid and allow broccoli to cook for 5 minutes.
Open up grill and use tongs or a spatula to flip broccoli florets over and mix them up. Reduce heat if necessary. Close lid and cook for another 5 minutes.
Open lid and use tongs to carefully move foil from grill to a serving platter.
Cooking Tips
- Be sure the aluminum foil sheet has the edges folded up (see photo), so the all of ingredients stay on the foil
- Spread out the florets on the foil so they all have a chance to cook evenly
- While cooking, you may need to lower the heat to low, depending on how hot your grill runs
