You’ll love the grilled flavor of this classic cookout side dish! Use aluminum foil to wrap up Grilled Carrots that turn out perfectly tender every time.
Carrots Cooked On The Grill
This side dish is great for bbq’s- grilled carrots go well with grilled meats, pasta salads, and fresh greens. You’ll love the deep, smoked flavor and the tender crisp texture of these carrots. Wrapping them in foil allows them to get delicious grill marks without getting burned. It’s a great grilling hack!
And you can cook these carrots with savory seasonings or sweet. We took the savory route and added a sprinkle of salt and pepper. If you prefer sweeter carrots, cook them without seasonings. Then top them with honey or cinnamon after cooking. Either way, they’re tasty and healthy!

How To Make Grilled Carrots
Start by preheating the grill. Close the lid so the grill heats up faster.
Let’s prep the carrots with olive oil, so they don’t stick to the foil wrapping. Pour a little oil in a small dish and use a pastry brush to coat the carrots in oil. Then sprinkle with salt and pepper. Flip carrots over and coat in oil and seasonings again.
Wrap each carrot in foil and tuck in the ends. Double-check that there are no holes in the foil packets before placing them on the grill.
Reduce heat to low and add carrots to grill. Close the lid and cook carrots for 10 minutes.
Open up grill and flip carrots over. Close lid and cook for another 10 minutes.
Now it’s time to check the carrots for doneness. Open the grill and use tongs to take one carrot packet off of the grill. Use oven mitts to open up the packet. Pierce the carrot with a fork to check for tenderness. If it is cooked to your liking, turn off the grill and remove the remaining foil packets.
Take carrots out of foil and serve!
