Ground Turkey Bolognese Sauce is so flavorful and easy to make! Serve over pasta for a filling dinner that also makes delicious leftovers.
Easy Ground Turkey Bolognese Sauce
This recipe has authentic bolognese taste, but it comes together easy enough for a beginner cook. You’ll love it! The sauce is satisfying and hearty, plus you can add veggies for a keto meal or your favorite variety of pasta for a traditional dinner. With a sprinkle of grated parmesan on top, it’s the perfect comfort dish.
Some recipes call for a simmering time of 20 minutes, but we’ve found that 5 minutes at a low boil makes for a delicious, thick sauce. You can make this bolognese for a weeknight dinner or let it simmer on a Sunday night and fill the house with the amazing smell of Italian food.

Once the oil starts sizzling, reduce the heat to medium high. Use a spatula to mix the onion with the olive oil.
Cook, stirring every minute, until onion starts to brown. This will take about 4 minutes.
At this point, add the ground turkey. Use a spatula to break up the meat and mix it with the onions. Cook meat and onions, stirring every minute, until turkey is fully cooked- about 10 minutes total.
Add the garlic, salt, pepper, and oregano to the pan. Stir to mix everything together. You’ll start to smell the garlic cooking.
Pour in water and crushed tomatoes. Mix the sauce until all liquid is incorporated. Once sauce starts simmering, reduce the heat to low and heat for 5 minutes. Add more salt to taste, if desired.
Then turn off the heat and portion the sauce out to serve. It’s delicious mixed with a bowl of pasta.
