Instant Pot Boneless Pork Ribs
The Instant Pot is the perfect appliance to cook country style ribs with gravy. The meat comes out right every time and you can even whisk up a gravy with the remaining seasonings.
As usual, you’ll want to over-season the meat since some of it will end up in the water at the bottom of the instant pot. But using a bit of cornstarch, you’ll be making a tasty gravy to serve up with the ribs.
Simply switch from pressure cooking to the sauté function to whisk up the gravy. Then stir until you reach a desired thickness. Pour gravy on top of pork ribs or serve in a gravy boat alongside.

How To Make Instant Pot Country Style Ribs and Gravy
Prep pressure cooker by pouring in a cup of water. Note that you’ll be over-seasoning the meat, since some of the seasonings end up in the water.
Sprinkle salt, pepper, and garlic powder onto both sides of the pork ribs. Rub in the seasonings to coat the meat completely.
Add ribs to pressure cooker. Close lid and seal valve. Press pressure cook button and set to 15 minutes on high pressure.
When done, first naturally release the steam for 10 minutes. Then, carefully quick release the steam. Open the lid. You can remove the ribs with tongs and place on a serving platter or plate.
Press “cancel” on the pressure cooker. Add corn starch to the seasoned water in the pot. Then press the sauté button. As soon as the liquid starts bubbling, whisk constantly for 1-2 minutes or until you reach your desired consistency.
Press “cancel” again and pour gravy out into bowl or gravy boat. Serve with pork ribs.

- Don’t forget to pour a cup of water into pressure cooker first
- Season the meat liberally, as some of the seasoning will end up in the water at the bottom of the instant pot
- You can use a trivet or place ribs directly into water
