Or make a big batch of these burger patties to serve for a party or kids get together. The Instant Pot takes all the work out of cooking.

I like to keep a bag of these burgers in the freezer so I can just pull them out when I am in the mood for a burger!

Beef is also a great source of protein and iron!

These are perfect for when you want a burger but don’t want to go through the trouble of turning on the grill or the oven.

All you need to do is get your burger toppings ready to go! You can eat these burgers however you like. I like mine on a bun with all the fixings. Yum!

I used all natural beef burgers that are 85% lean and 15% fat. You can use any type of beef burger you prefer!

These are steamed burgers so they won’t be as brown as grilled burgers. But, they will be just as juicy and flavorful!

How to Cook Instant Pot Frozen Burgers

Step one is to get your Instant Pot out and place the trivet inside. If you don’t have the trivet, you can still make this recipe as it is not required!

Next, add in 1 cup of water to the pot. Then place in the frozen burgers. No need to defrost – just use as is! I used 4 patties but you can cook as many as fit comfortably in your instant pot.

Next set the Instant Pot to sealing and pressure cook on high for 20 minutes.

When done, use the quick release to let the air pressure release. Remove carefully as the burgers will be hot. Serve and enjoy!

What to Serve with Instant Pot Burgers

You can serve these burgers as is or add to any variety of sides, such as a salad or traditional bun.

I like serving with some burger buns, ketchup, mustard, onion, and lettuce! Some crispy french fries would be great too!

Or you could try topping with some sliced cheese and caramelized onions for a twist.

This worked great! Thank you for such simple and useful instructions. Of course, the browning flavor is missing, but for a lazy cook like me this was perfect.

This recipe was simple and easy to follow, it’s my go-to for frozen burgers! I adjusted the time to 16 minutes to I can brown them in the pan without drying them out and sometimes I add cheese :)

Thank you for the recipe and inspiration! :)

Wow! I just tried this with a 5.33oz frozen patty. So good. I think will be my preferred way going forward. Thanks Meanie!

  4. Why cook for 20 minutes then Quick Release? It seems smarter to cook for 18 minutes followed by two minutes of natural release. There will be less steam shooting out. In the real world, I am never free to release the pressure as soon as the cooking is done.

I still use your no drain pasta method. Super easy!
