Want to try lobster tails, what is the max number I can cook at one time and did i need to add more water?
You can cook as many lobster tails as fit in the pot bellow the “Max Fill” line. The amount of water and the cooking time remain the same.
Do you place the lobster tails on the trivet or directly in the pot?
You can do it either way.
Is it an extra minute for each frozen lobster? So 4 frozen lobsters would cook for 8 min?
No, just extra 1 minute added to cooking time (no matter how many lobster tails you are cooking).
I’ve found most recipes are a bit over done for my tastes, plus I was only going to cook 2 fresh, not frozen tails, I put the on High for 2 mins. Personally, I’d try 1 min with 30 secs NPR, the a QR, but this turned out well.
All the other insta pot recipes are so much more complicated. I did cut the tails down the center and separate the meat from the sides to “pop” them up.
