This Instant Pot Pork and Sauerkraut is an easy, home-cooked meal that fills you up! Pork prepared in the instant pot comes out deliciously tender and melts in your mouth.
Pork and Sauerkraut in the Instant Pot

The pork cooks through and comes out tender and juicy. Plus there’s plenty of yummy sauce. We love to serve this dish over mashed potatoes.

How To Make Instant Pot Pork and Sauerkraut
Start by prepping your ingredients to be cooked. Chop off the ends of the onion and then peel it. Slice onion completely.
Wash the apples and core them. Cut into slices as well.
Add pork to a mixing bowl. Top with half of seasoning, then mix to coat. Add other half of seasonings and mix again.
Pour cup of water into instant pot. Add seasoned pork, then onion and apples. Finish off with drained sauerkraut. Use a large spoon to even out ingredients in instant pot.
Place lid back on pot and set sealing valve to close. Set to high pressure for 15 minutes.
When time is up, allow pressure to naturally release for another 15 minutes. Then quick release pressure until the pin drops.
Open up instant pot and mix contents with large spoon, then move mixture from instant pot to a serving bowl.

- For best results, be sure to drain excess liquid from sauerkraut jar before adding the contents to the instant pot
- This recipe calls for salt, pepper, and garlic powder, but you can add any additional seasonings you love
