How To Make Italian Pinwheels With Salami And Cream Cheese
Start by spreading cream cheese all over the flour tortilla.
Next, add slices of salami in the center of the tortilla. Placing them in the center makes it easier to roll up the pinwheel.
Lastly, add some slices of cheese. Cut or tear them in half to fit better across the middle.
Now it’s time to roll up the tortilla. Grab an edge with only cream cheese on it and begin rolling tightly into a log shape.
Once the tortilla is rolled up, press gently to use the cream cheese as “glue” to keep the pinwheel together.
Now slice the tortilla log into small pinwheels. Place them on a serving platter and they are ready to be enjoyed!
Cooking Tips:
- We used provolone, but you can use any variety of sliced cheese
- If you’d like larger pinwheels, simply use larger tortillas
- Feel free to add other complimentary ingredients such as shredded lettuce, thinly sliced tomato or red onion
