Jerk Chicken Taco Ingredients
Jerk chicken tacos are like a flavor explosion in every bite! First, the chicken is seasoned with a special blend of spices known as jerk seasoning, which gives it a bold and zesty taste. Then, it’s cooked until it’s juicy and packed with that amazing flavor. Next, the jerk chicken is folded into soft taco shells, creating a tasty and handheld meal.
We like to add shredded lettuce and pineapple chunks to balance the spiciness. These tacos are not only delicious but also a fun way to enjoy the exciting taste of jerk seasoning in a quick and easy meal. Get ready for a fiesta of flavors with jerk chicken tacos!

How To Make Jerk Chicken Tacos
Start by cutting the chicken into pieces. Then add them to a bowl for seasoning.
Sprinkle Jamaican jerk seasoning and lime juice onto the chicken. Stir to coat the chicken. At this point, you can move ahead with cooking or allow the chicken to marinate for more flavor.
Meanwhile, mix up the sauce. Add mayo, Jamaican jerk seasoning, and lime juice to a small bowl. Stir to blend everything together.
Next, heat oil in a pan on high heat and add the chicken. Wait until the oil is sizzling, then turn down the heat to medium high. Stir the chicken in the pan.
Cook chicken for 6 minutes, stirring every minute, until it is done. You can slice a thick piece to confirm that it is cooked through. Then turn off the heat.
Microwave tortillas for 30 seconds to make them more pliable for tacos. Load up the tortillas with chicken; then top with sauce, lettuce, and pineapple chunks.
Cooking Tips
- Can use corn tortillas or flour
- The longer the dish marinades, the more intense the flavor. 20 minutes on the kitchen counter or in the fridge for a few hours.
- Be sure to drain the pineapple chunks before adding them to the tacos
