Omega Restaurant Review – Chicago Suburbs, Niles IL

Omega restaurant is a popular American restaurant located in Niles IL – a north suburb of Chicago.  Omega restaurant describes itself as a “pancake house and bakery”, but in addition to wonderful breakfast foods and desserts they have an extensive dinner menu.  Omega is very affordable – even their dinners are under $20, the portions are big, the food is tasty and the choices are plentiful.  No wonder this place is always packed!

When you walk into Omega restaurant, the first thing that you see is their beautiful dessert bar.  The dessert bar is shaped like a circle with the glass counter with multiple shelves, and it is loaded with mouthwatering sweet goodies.  You just look at this dessert bar and drool!  It has such beautiful cakes, pies, cookies and other pastries – you just want to eat it all, right then and there!

Omega is very kid-friendly with an excellent children’s menu.  There are lots of things for kids in Omega.  Here’s the photo of Omega kids menu:

A kids favorite in Omega is Mickey Mouse pancake – the face and ears of the Mickey Mouse made out of pancakes :)  Here’s the photo of a Mickey Mouse pancake:

Omega has a very tasty matzo ball soup.  It’s a homemade chicken soup with a huge yummy matzo ball – very comforting and filling!

Here’s the whole wheat toast that came with the omelette.  Spread some jam on it and crunch away – perfect!

Here’s a yummy fish dinner from Omega.  The fish is crusted with Parmesan cheese and served on top of mashed potatoes, with some broccoli and carrots on the side:

Also, try their delicious blueberry crepes!  I don’t have a picture, but I’ve eaten them at Omega restaurant many times, and they are so delicious!

Omega also has special holiday menus on many holidays.  If you are looking to celebrate a holiday without cooking, check Omega – their holiday dinner prices are the cheapest I’ve seen compared to holiday menus in other restaurants.
