- Optional: for easier clean-up- spray mug with a light coating of nonstick spray before adding ingredients
Are Mug Cakes Supposed To Be Gooey?
After being cooked, mug cakes should be moist inside with a slightly gooey center. If it’s too wet in the middle, microwave for another 20-30 seconds. If you prefer a mug cake that’s softer in the center, cook for a little less time than the instructions state. For best results, allow cake to cool off for a minute or two after heating.
What To Serve with Oreo Mug Cake
Some delicious toppings for this single serving cake include: Warm Roasted Figs And Hazelnuts, White Vanilla Whipped Cream Frosting (Easy Recipe), or Microwave Baked Apples.
Or serve alongside fruit or ice cream to make a dessert to serve friends or family. This Fruit Salad With Strawberries, Kiwis and Bananas and Healthy Chocolate Banana Ice Cream (Dairy-Free, Vegan, Paleo) would both be amazing with the Oreo mug cake.
