Organic Quinoa At Costco

Here’s another great Costco find – organic quinoa. Organic quinoa at Costco is cheaper than even non-organic quinoa in regular grocery stores. Costco sells that quinoa for $9.99 for a 4-lb bag – that’s about $2.50 per pound.
Quinoa can be stored in the pantry for years without any deterioration in flavor, so don’t be scared by a large package size. Even if you think you don’t need so much quinoa, just buy a package and store it in a pantry until you use it up. We love quinoa, so I go through several of those bags of Costco quinoa every year :)
Organic quinoa from Costco is a very high-quality quinoa. The grains are very clean and uniform. Plus Costco quinoa is organic, so fewer chemicals were used while growing this grain.
In the past I’ve gotten some pour quality quinoa that had pebbles and pieces of sticks inside, but I’ve never had this experience with the Costco quinoa. I have never seen anything in the Costco quinoa package that doesn’t belong there – the quinoa is always super-clean.
A great thing about the Costco quinoa is that it doesn’t need to be rinsed. It doesn’t have any off flavor when cooked without rinsing, which is wonderful. Not rinsing quinoa saves a step in a cooking process, which always makes me a happy camper. Not only this great quinoa from Costco save you money, but it also saves you time!
Quinoa is much healthier than rice, potatoes or pasta, so it makes a great side dish. Quinoa is also very mild in flavor, so most people who try it end up liking it.
