How To Make Sausage Cream Cheese Crescent Rolls
Preheat the oven to 375 and prep a baking sheet with parchment paper so the rolls don’t stick.
Mix together the softened cream cheese and ground sausage in a bowl.
Open a package of crescent rolls and roll out dough on a cutting board. Separate the pieces of dough along pre-sliced lines, using a knife if necessary.
Use a spoon to add filling (about 1/4 cup) to the large part of the dough triangle. Roll up dough and pinch to seal edges.
Place filled crescent roll on parchment-lined baking sheet. Continue process with the rest of the crescent rolls in both packages.
Bake for 20 minutes, then let cool for 5 minutes.
Cooking Tips
- Prep ground sausage by cooking in a frying pan
- Soften cream cheese by warming up to room temperature on the counter or by microwaving for about 15 seconds
- When spooning the sausage mixture onto the crescent rolls, aim to divide mixture evenly between the two packages of rolls
How Do You Bring Cream Cheese To Room Temperature Quickly?
If you’re in a rush, you can either microwave the cream cheese (for about 15 secs) or submerge it in water. To do this, unwrap the cream cheese from the packaging. Place in a bowl of warm water. Allow to warm up for 10-15 mins, flipping the block of cheese every 5 minutes or so. This is a quicker way to soften cream cheese than leaving it out on the counter.
