Sautéed Radishes cook up tender and perfectly browned when pan fried. This delicious side dish is a flavorful, low-carb alternative to potatoes.
How To Cook Radishes on the Stove
Sautéed Radishes are a healthy side dish that you can season to your liking. Just chop into quarters and add to a skillet. It’s such an easy recipe!
The main tip is to keep an eye on the heat. If the radishes start to burn before they are thoroughly cooked, you can reduce the heat to medium. Also, keep the radishes moving to prevent burning. Give them a toss with a spatula about every minute or so while cooking. Before you know it, they’ll be perfectly tender and ready for seasoning.

How To Make Sautéed Radishes
First you’ll need to prep the radishes. Wash them thoroughly and chop off the ends. Then cut the radishes into quarters. This helps them to cook faster.
Heat a nonstick skillet to high heat. Add radishes and a drizzle of olive oil (or any vegetable oil) to the pan. Once the oil starts sizzling, toss the radishes with a spatula and reduce the heat to med high.
Cook for 3-4 minutes, mixing radishes every minute. Reduce heat to medium and cook for an additional 15 minutes or until radishes are cooked through. If they need additional cooking time to be tender, just add a few more minutes on medium heat.
Now it’s time to add your seasonings. Salt, pepper, and garlic powder… or any seasonings you prefer. Use the spatula to coat the radishes evenly in the seasonings.
Next turn off heat and move the cooked radishes to a serving plate or bowl. Enjoy them on their own or add to stir fry’s, salads, or protein bowls.
Cooking Tips
- If the radishes start to burn before they are done cooking, simply turn the heat down to medium
- While radishes are cooking, remember to mix them up every minute or so, to ensure even cooking
- Add the seasonings at the end, when the radishes are cooked through
- This recipe calls for salt, pepper, and garlic powder, but you can use any seasonings you like on radishes
