Simple Cafe Restaurant Review in Lake Geneva, WI

If you are planning a trip to Lake Geneva, Simple Cafe restaurant is a MUST place to eat at!  Simple Cafe has outstanding food, wonderful ambiance and great service.  It is serving breakfast and lunch fare and is open until 3pm.  The menu items at Simple Cafe have really creative flare – so gourmet and unique!

The breakfast menu at Simple Cafe has lots of egg dishes, french toast and pancakes.  There is egg benedict, lots of different frittatas and omelets, and also some exotic egg dishes – for example, Eggs Sardou – peached eggs on croissant with artichokes, fresh spinach, mozzarella, parmesan cheese with Creole hollandaise.  There is also Smoked Trout Spanish Tortilla, Simple Breakfast Sandwich, Chorizo Black Bean Breakfast Burrito and Corned Beef Hash.

Check out the Korean BBQ Breakfast Bowl – Korean BBQ skirt steak, brown rice, mushrooms, broccoli, spinach, shredded radishes, green onions, arugula, kimchee topped with an over easy egg – how’s that for breakfast :)

The french toast at Simple Cafe is no ordinary french toast – it’s an Apple Crumble French Toast – brioche French toast topped with cinnamon baked apples, crisp crumble and cider rudection infused maple syrup.  Yum!

The lunch menu at Simple Cafe has sandwiches and burgers that are served after 11 am.   All their breakfast items are also served at lunch time. The sandwiches are very unique – for example, Cuban Sandwich – shaved ham, braised pork belly, pickles, banana peppers, gruyere cheese, dijon mustard, french bread.  There are also very yummy vegetarian sandwiches – portobello sandwich, Simple garden burger and grilled cheese.

Simple Cafe has a regular beef burger called “Simple Old School Burger”, a Turkey Burger and a Veggie Burger called “Simple Garden Burger”.  Simple Garden Burger has such unique ingredients – walnuts, brown rice, roasted garlic hummus, panko, caramelized onion, black beans, mushrooms, green onion, sundried tomato mayo, mixed greens, roasted red pepper, sunflower seed sprouts – sounds so good!

The prices in Simple Cafe are very reasonable – everything is between $7.95 and $9.95.  Here are some pictures of the inside of Simple Cafe – it has such a cheerful happy interior, it puts you in a good mood just to be there!

Here’s the photo of the Turkey Arugula Pesto Hash – house roasted turkey, arugula, pesto, grilled red onion, fresh mozzarella, diced tomato, potato topped with two eggs.  I chose the sunny-side-up for the egg option.  That was so yummy!

Here’s a tandoori chicken sandwich -tandoori chicken, mixed greens, shaved cabbage, shaved radish, spiced cucumber yogurt sauce served on toasted ciabatta.

There are so many things I want to try at Simple Cafe – it would take me months of eating there every day to sample all those delicious goodies!  I’m rarely so excited about restaurants – this one is a must try!
