Equipment You Will Need To Make Sautéed Kale
How To Make Spicy Garlic Sesame Sauteed Kale
It takes just 10 minutes, from start to finish, to make this recipe. Give it a go, I just know you will love it!
Cook, stirring every minute, for 5 minutes, or until kale is desired tenderness. Add sesame oil (if using) and soy sauce and stir to combine.
What do you serve with sautéed kale?
This Asian inspired side dish is cooked with soy sauce and sesame seeds, and is great when paired with chicken or fish dishes. You can simply oven bake chicken breast or a salmon fillet, or try serving it with some of these yummy recipes:

What’s the best kale to use?
I like to use baby kale for this recipe as it is more tender and has a milder flavor. It’s a great option if you haven’t had this leafy green before. You can use other types of kale in this recipe, but they may require a slightly longer cooking time as the leaves are tougher.
How do you prepare kale?
Give the Kale a wash under cold running water to remove any dirt and pat it dry with some paper towel or use a salad spinner. Cut the stems off of each leaf, as these can be tough to eat. Roughly chop the leaves before cooking so that they are easier to eat.
Can you sauté kale ahead of time?
Because this is such a quick and easy side dish, you can easily make it while your main dish is cooking. If you are planning it as part of a larger meal and want to get ahead of things, the cooked dish will keep in an airtight container in the fridge for a day. Simply reheat it in a skillet to serve.
Why is kale so good for you?
Kale is widely known as a super food. It is highly nutritious and it’s a great choice to include this in your diet. It is loaded with antioxidants and is a great source of vitamins A, K and C. It’s low in fat, calories and carbs and also contains minerals like calcium and magnesium.
Take Care Not To Overcook The Kale
Kale is very fast cooking, and be careful not to overcook it as it can become quite mushy and loose a lot of those nutrients. I find sautéing the best way to cook kale. The kale should be a wonderful bright green in color and be tender to serve.
A Flavorful Way To Enjoy Kale!
I just love the Asian inspired flavors in this dish! The garlic, soy sauce and sesame all work so well together and really turns this into a restaurant quality dish. Even the pickiest of eaters are sure to love this! If you are sensitive to spicy foods, simply omit the chili flakes.
