How To Make Spinach Balls With Stuffing
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Prep a baking sheet with parchment paper so the spinach balls don’t stick while baking.
Add 3 eggs to a mixing bowl and whisk them up. Add chopped spinach and stir again.
Pour in stuffing mix and melted butter. Then add parmesan cheese, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and pepper. Mix ingredients until combined.
Use hands to make spinach balls and lay out on parchment paper-lined baking sheet. Bake for 20 minutes and allow to cool for 5 minutes before serving.
Cooking Tips
- Defrost the spinach first, before using. Microwave is easiest method
- As the breadcrumbs mix with the eggs, the ingredients will become easier to mix together
- Aim for golf ball-sized spinach balls (this recipe makes about 14)
Can I Make Stuffing Balls In Advance?
Yes! To make prep easier, you can assemble stuffing balls a day or two in advance. Simply store in a covered container in the fridge. When ready to bake, add a few extra minutes to cook time (to account for chilled food) and serve as usual!
How Do You Prevent Frozen Spinach From Being Soggy?
After you defrost the spinach (in the microwave or on the kitchen counter), lay the spinach between two paper towels and squeeze out the excess water. You can also place the spinach in a colander in the sink and use a spatula or spoon to press the water out.
