How To Make a Starbucks Grilled Cheese
Start by making the parmesan butter. Melt 2 Tablespoons of butter in the microwave. Next add the shredded parmesan cheese and mix together. Spread 1/2 of mixture on one slice of bread with a pastry brush or spatula.
Flip slice of bread over and lay 2 pieces of mozzarella and 2 pieces of white cheddar cheese on top. If necessary, tear off pieces of the cheese slices (and put in center of bread) to make cheese fit better.
Top with another slice of sourdough and brush it with remaining butter mixture. Add sandwich to a frying pan set to high heat.
As soon as sandwich starts sizzling, turn heat down to medium. Keep an eye on sandwich and flip when bread on skillet side is golden brown, about 1 minute. Reduce heat to low.
Cook for about another 2 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bread is toasted. Turn off heat and remove the sourdough grilled cheese from the skillet.
Cooking Tips
- You can use salted or unsalted butter
