These turkey spinach meatballs are gluten-free, dairy-free, and paleo, keto and whole 30 approved! Best of all, you can sneak the whole package of spinach into these meatballs and even spinach haters will devour them!
When the spinach is worked into the turkey meatball mixture, somehow you don’t even taste the spinach once the meatballs are baked! If you cover the meatballs with sauce and don’t look inside when biting into them, most people wouldn’t even notice that the spinach is there!
These baked turkey spinach meatballs taste great with or without sauce! Here are some sauces that will be awesome with these healthy meatballs: made from scratch tomato sauce, tzatziki yogurt sauce, cranberry orange sauce or homemade bbq sauce. You can add the sauce to these meatballs and serve them over pasta or rice or alongside mashed potatoes. Or you can serve this turkey spinach meatballs plain – they are so tender and yummy!
The spinach makes the texture of the meatballs really tender, and because of spinach addition you don’t need to add breadcrumbs! That’s how these meatballs don’t contain the typical breadcrumbs, so they are naturally gluten-free!
These turkey spinach meatballs also work great as a salad protein. If you are tired of constantly adding plain chicken to your salads, you will love adding these delicious baked meatballs! You will surely look forward to your salad when it is topped with these juicy tasty spinach turkey meatballs!
I usually serve these baked meatballs as a main dish, but they also work great as an appetizer. You can make them smaller in size and put a toothpick in each cooked meatball, making it into a perfect cocktail finger food!
These baked turkey spinach meatballs freeze perfectly. As I wrote in my guide on how to freeze meatballs, I like to freeze meatballs cooked. Just bake the meatballs as usual, then line a large plate with parchment paper, put the meatballs on a plate so they are not touching, put in a freezer and freeze for 1 hour. Afterwards, put the frozen meatballs in a large ziploc bag and put back in a freezer. When ready to eat, just defrost as many meatballs as you need – in a refrigerator overnight or in a microwave. Enjoy!

Nutrition
How many meatballs does this recipe typically make? 12 ?? Because those meatballs look golfball shaped, lol.
Yeah, 12 per pound is about right :)
Can this be made with 1)ground chicken 2) 93/7 lean turkey?
Also, can I just shape the meatballs and put them in my Instant Pot with water and pasta sauce, for 10 mins? Without baking them? Like you did for another recipe on here.. thank you!
Yes to ground chicken, lean turkey and the Instant Pot! Except the Instant Pot meatball cooking time would be 20 minutes, not 10.
Fresh spinach?
You can use fresh chopped spinach instead of thawed frozen spinach if you’d like.
making them a great option even for spinach haters. Thanks for sharing!
