You'll love this delicious and tender Air Fryer Chicken Breast in Foil! The foil packets seal in all the moisture and seasonings. It's so easy to cook flavorful chicken in the air fryer.
Pour a little bit of olive oil into a small dish and brush the chicken breasts. You can omit the oil, but it does add flavor and prevents the chicken breast from sticking to the foil.
Next top the chicken breasts with seasonings. We used salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Rub the seasoning and oil onto the breasts. Then flip them over and season on the other side.
Measure out about 12" of aluminum foil for each breast. Lay one seasoned chicken breast on each foil sheet. Top with 2 lemon slices for extra flavor. Fold up the aluminum into a little packet and add the chicken to the air fryer. Repeat this process with the other chicken breast.
Cook at 400 degrees for 30 minutes for thick chicken breasts or 20-25 minutes for thinner pieces.
Once the cooking time is up, check the chicken in a few places with a meat thermometer. You can pierce the foil with the thermometer if there isn't a clear opening. The chicken should be at least 165 degrees at the thickest point. If not, continue cooking at 400 degrees for another five minutes before checking the temperature again.
If chicken is done cooking, carefully remove foil packets from air fryer with a pair of tongs. Open the packets and lay chicken out on a serving platter to enjoy!
