Lay out thin chicken breasts on a preparation surface. Drizzle with cooking oil and sprinkle with seasonings. Rub in oil and seasonings.
Flip the chicken breasts over and top with more oil and seasonings. Rub it in to coat the chicken evenly.
Place seasoned chicken breasts in the air fryer basket. Close up the air fryer and heat to 400 degrees for 10 minutes.
Optional: halfway through cooking time, you can open up the air fryer and flip over the chicken pieces with a spatula. This helps them to cook more evenly. Definitely complete this step if the chicken is crowded in the air fryer basket.
Once cooking time is up, check the doneness of the chicken with a meat thermometer. Chicken should register at least 160 degrees in the center. If not, close up air fryer and cook at 400 degrees for another few minutes.
If the chicken is ready, use a spatula to move it to a serving plate.
You may omit the oil if you prefer. It does keep the chicken moist and prevent it from sticking to the air fryer.
If you cook more chicken than can fit in a single layer in the air fryer basket, you can stack the chicken into a couple of layers. Just be sure to flip the chicken breasts and move them around the air fryer about halfway through cooking time so the chicken cooks evenly.
Cooking time can vary depending on model of air fryer and size of chicken breasts.
