Devil's Food Cake Mix

cherry pie filling

maraschino cherries
use about 50 cherries for cake
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
Whisk up your eggs in a medium-sized mixing bowl.
Add cake mix and cherry pie filling to bowl. Stir to combine.
Prep your baking dish. A 9"x 11" glass dish works best for this cake. Spray with nonstick cooking spray or brush with butter or oil.
Pour in the cake batter. Smooth into pan.
Bake in oven for 35 minutes.
Let cake cool for a minimum of 30 minutes.
Smooth on frosting with spatula.
Using a spoon, scoop cherries out of jar and place all over cake. You'll use about 50 cherries for the whole sheet cake.

This recipe calls for Devil's Food cake mix, but you can also use any variation of chocolate.
Let cake cool for at least 30 minutes before applying frosting. Longer, if possible. Otherwise frosting could melt.
This cake can be made ahead of time. Just bake and frost, then store in fridge until party time. Add cherries right before serving.
