Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Crack an egg into a mixing bowl and whisk it up.
Add vegetable oil, brown sugar, white sugar, and vanilla extract to the bowl. Stir until well-combined.
Pour in flour, salt, and baking soda. Stir until mixed.
Add chocolate chips and stir until they are incorporated into the dough.
Begin forming cookie dough into circles, adding loose chocolate chips as you go.
Lay unbaked cookies out on parchment paper-lined baking sheet. This recipe makes 6 large cookies or 12 regular-sized cookies.
Bake for 11 minutes to get soft cookies, or add a few more minutes to this time if you would like crispier cookies.
Allow cookies to cool on countertop for 30 minutes before serving.
