1/2cupwateror white wine, chicken stock, or veggie stock
Instructions
Prep your onion by chopping into small pieces.
Heat the skillet to high heat and add a drizzle of olive oil. Add onions to pan.
Once the oil starts sizzling, reduce the heat to medium high. Use a spatula to mix the onion with the olive oil. Cook, stirring every minute, until onion starts to brown. This will take about 4 minutes.
At this point, add the ground turkey. Use a spatula to break up the meat and mix it with the onions. Cook meat and onions, stirring every minute, until turkey is fully cooked- about 10 minutes total.
Add the garlic, salt, pepper, and oregano to the pan. Stir to mix everything together. You'll start to smell the garlic cooking.
Pour in water and crushed tomatoes. Mix the sauce until all liquid is incorporated. Once sauce starts simmering, reduce the heat to low and heat for 5 minutes. Add more salt to taste, if desired.
Then turn off the heat and portion the sauce out to serve. It's delicious mixed with a bowl of pasta.
