Deviled Eggs RecipeDeviled eggs are a classic appetizer that’s easy to make and perfect for any gathering. With just a few ingredients like eggs, mayonnaise, and mustard, you can whip up a batch of these creamy, tangy delights in no time. They are not only tasty but also offer the flexibility of garnishing with your favorite spices for added flavor and presentation.
Boil the Eggs: Place the eggs in a pot and cover them with water. Heat on high until the water comes to a rolling boil. Once boiling, turn off the heat and cover the pot. Let the eggs sit in the hot water for 10 minutes.
Cool and Peel the Eggs:After the eggs have rested, rinse them under cold water to cool them off. Gently peel off the eggshells.
Prepare the Yolks:Slice each egg in half lengthwise. Scoop the yolks into a mixing bowl and set the egg whites aside on a platter. Use a fork to crumble and mash the yolks.
Mix the Filling:Add mayonnaise, mustard, and salt to the mashed yolks. Mix everything together until smooth. If the mixture is too thick, add a little more mayo to achieve the desired consistency.
Fill the Egg Whites:Spoon the yolk mixture into the egg white halves. For a cleaner presentation, you can use a piping bag or make a DIY version with a plastic bag by snipping off the tip and squeezing the filling into the eggs.
Garnish and Serve:Sprinkle the deviled eggs with paprika and garnish with parsley for a pop of color and extra flavor. Enjoy!
Notes
If you want more tang, feel free to add a dash of vinegar or pickle juice to the filling mixture.
