These Instant Pot Frozen Meatballs cook up perfectly tender and moist. The instant pot is so convenient for cooking packaged meatballs straight from frozen.
Add a cup of water to the instant pot for cooking.
Open package of frozen meatballs and add to the instant pot, on top of a trivet, if you have one.
Close lid and set to sealing position.
Cook frozen meatballs for 10 minutes (or 20 mins for raw meatballs) on high pressure.
When cooking time is over, quick release the steam.
Then open instant pot and remove meatballs.
If you choose to top with sauce, you can microwave it for 30 seconds- 1 minute in the microwave. Then pour over meatballs.

A trivet is an instant pot accessory. It's a rack made of stainless steel that holds the food above the liquid while the instant pot is running. The purpose is to keep the cooking food out of the liquid, but still allow it to absorb the moisture. This results in food that's moist but not saturated. Using a trivet is totally optional. If you do not have one, you can just cook the meatballs directly in the water.
No need to thaw out the meatballs. The instant pot cooks them straight from frozen
You can add sauce to the instant pot, but some models will have a "burn" notification if you cook sauce in them. It might work better to cook the meatballs, remove them from the instant pot, and then serve them with sauce.
