Looking for a healthy, flavorful side dish? These Pan Fried Oyster Mushroom are low carb, easy to cook, and so tasty! Just chop, season, and pan fry these mushrooms for a unique side dish or topping.
Add oil to frying pan and heat to high while you chop the mushrooms.
Slice the mushrooms away from the (inedible) stems. Discard stems- or save to use in vegetable broth. Chop oyster mushrooms into pieces.
Add mushrooms to frying pan and wait until the oil starts to sizzle. We used olive oil in this recipe, but you can feel free to use any kind of vegetable oil.
Use a spatula to mix up mushrooms in the pan and lower the heat to medium high. Cook for about 9 minutes, stirring every minute, until oyster mushrooms are tender and cooked though.
Now it's time to season them. Add soy sauce, pepper, and garlic powder. Stir mushrooms to coat in the seasonings. Allow everything to cook for another minute.
Use a spatula to move mushrooms from the skillet to a serving bowl or plate.
