This Sausage Quiche makes a delicious brunch or dinner dish. With sausage, cheddar cheese, and chopped onions, this quiche is full of flavor and so easy to bake up!
Heat a nonstick frying pan to high heat. Add sausage to the pan.
Once the sausage starts sizzling, use a spatula to break it up into pieces.
Peel and chop up onion.
Add onion to the pan with the sausage (both ingredients take the same amount of time to cook). Mix everything up and turn heat down to medium high.
Cook until meat is done and onion is tender, about 10 minutes total. (If ingredients start to burn before cooking time is up, turn down heat to medium)
Add shredded cheese to pan and turn off the heat. The warmth of the sausage will melt the cheese. Stir to combine ingredients.
Spray a 9" pie pan with nonstick cooking spray. Then roll out the pie crust and press in to fit.
Add sausage filling and use spatula to level out in pie pan.
Whisk up eggs in a small bowl or liquid measuring cup.
Add half and half and whisk again.
Pour egg mixture over sausage filling.
Place in oven and bake for 40 minutes.
Allow to cool for 10-15 minutes before serving.

Notes
You can use mild or spicy sausage in this recipe, whichever is your preference
No need to add oil to pan cooking sausage as the meat already has a high fat content
The sausage has plenty of seasonings, but if you want additional seasonings, you can sprinkle them on the eggs before whisking
