Ingredients
1
tsp
cooking oil
any vegetable oil or butter
1
lb
okra
1/2
tsp
salt
1/4
tsp
pepper
1/2
tsp
garlic powder
Instructions
Wash and dry okra. Cut off the stems and slice okra into pieces.
Pour oil into skillet and heat to high. In about 2 minutes, the oil will start to sizzle. This is your cue to add the okra.
Once okra is in the pan, mix it up with a spatula. Turn the heat down to medium high.
Now cook for 10 minutes, stirring okra every minute. If veggies start to burn before fully cooked, turn the heat down to low.
Once the okra is nice and tender, sprinkle in salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Toss the okra to coat in seasonings.
Turn off the heat and move the okra from the pan to a serving plate.
